Clam Chowder

 

Ingredients

1 cup celery, chopped

1 cup onions, chopped

3 cup potatoes, diced

1 big can of whole clams

2 small cans of chopped clams

1 cup carrots

1 cup diced broccoli stalks

¾ cup butter

¾ cup flour or substitute

1 qt half and half

1 tsp salt

½ tsp sugar

Pinch of pepper

½ tsp tried thyme leaves crushed

 

  1. Add vegetables and clams together with enough water to just cover. Cook until tender.
  2. In a separate pan add butter, flour, and blend with heat
  3. Add cream and stir
  4. Add veg mix, seasonings and mix
  5. Add milk if it becomes too thick.
